Hello! I can't remember the last time I hung out on dA to do anything productive, which is kind of sad because I see everyone is still writing amazing stuff that I haven't read. As I mentioned previously, I sort of spontaneously moved to Cape Town in February to do my Master's degree in a completely different field that I'm still becoming familiar with. As difficult as it is, I'm a lot happier now than when I was in genetics, which of course is a gorgeous and essential field in this day and age - but I couldn't really contribute to it in terms of research, at least not at this point in my life. 

I miss the people at home and my dog + piano + church, but I don't really miss Durban. Coming here was a good decision. I have a lot of stuff to think about and I seem to now have the mental space to do so. This city is beautiful, and the people are different. This has been a really good change.

What else is new? I got mugged the other day, but it was minor. I cut my hair. I haven't been writing poetry but it's slowly building up in my head. Which may be a good or bad thing. I've got a bigger appetite these days, my mom says my face looks fuller (this is a good thing for me). 

I've missed my friends on here, so tell me how you are. I'm just a note away.
